Beach Rock Village

Beach Rock Village is a little hippy village in Okinawa where you can eat pizza in a yurt. Sounds like fun, right?! Well, it was actually. It was about an hours drive from Chatan so we went on early on Saturday morning. Aya had to work so it ended up being an adventure with Alex, his friend Tim, Emelie and me. The destination was Beach Rock Village but we ended up making a few detours - one at a place called Pineapple Park! Where you pay an entry fee of 600yen, drive around a pineapple field in a pineapple shaped golf cart, and then you can eat as much pineapple as you want!

Tree houses!

You can stay the night at Beach Rock Village. You have the choices of a tepee, a yurt, or a tent.

The tents don't seem as nice as the yurts since they are super close together. We didn't see too many people up and about on the campground but they might have still been sleeping.

Nature Cottage!

This is the tree terrace where we ate our lunch. That's Tim sliding down the fireman pole.

Possibly the coolest spot in the world for a swing!

This was the camp music room! I didn't take a picture of the instruments but they had some guitars, tambourines, maracas, you know, the typical camping instruments.

This is a map of the campsite made to look like a board game!

Chickens

Not sure who got to sleep in this one

Dog house

These dogs were barking like mad almost the entire time we were there. Only slightly annoying.

They carry the food up the tree house for you. We thought it would be funny to order a bunch of food just to see them try to juggle it up the ladder, but the food was a bit pricey. I guess they do that on purpose..
